After a Devastating Wake Up Call, I’ve Found the BEST Way to Restore My Headlights, Cheap!
After a Devastating Wake Up Call, I’ve Found the BEST Way to Restore My Headlights, Cheap!
Roger DeCampo | Thursday, April 18, 2024

Recently, I had the scariest moment of my life. In fact, it was such a close call, it’s changed the way I look at my car, forever…

Now, I drive a relatively “old” car. It’s a 2012 Chevy Avalanche. What can I say… I love not having a car payment!

And, it’s served me well throughout its life.

But, the biggest problem I’ve noticed lately, is when I’m driving at night. My headlights barely light up the road, and it’s even gotten to the point where I’ve been a little worried. I even feel like I have to have my high beams on just to see!

Then, that got me to thinking: Man, those fogged-up-looking headlights are ugly, on an otherwise good looking and well-maintained car. I plan on having it for another few years, and even if there weren’t an issue with safety, I’d still want to drive a respectable looking car.

So, the idea of replacing my headlights was already on my mind. And then, well, that “little” problem, turned out NOT to be so little…

A few weeks ago, I was driving home after picking up my son from soccer practice. He was zonked in the backseat, so I wasn’t getting a million questions about everything in the world, like I always do. Which was a good thing, because it’d just started to rain and I needed to concentrate because of my headlights…

Now, I live on a curvy road. There are lots of twists and turns. Well, I was driving on a straightaway, so I hit the gas a little. But, little did I know, what I was about to see, would forever change the way I see the road…

So, as far as I knew, everything was just fine. I was cruising along, then, WHAM!

The right side of the car hit a pothole that felt like it had to have been about two feet deep. You ready to hear the damage?

BOTH tires, popped. BOTH struts, broken. The bottom of the right-side body was scraped to Hong Kong and back.

All that money I’ve been saving by driving my old car? Out the window. And, all because my headlights weren’t even bright enough to light up the road in front of me.

But, there was a silver lining. There was one thing I was grateful for.

You see, after I hit the pothole, my son woke up (he would have had to have been in a coma not to). “Dad?” he said, clearly rattled.

Now, in that moment, hearing that… well, it’s enough to get any father thinking. Luckily, this time, it was only a pothole. But, I shudder to think about the What Ifs.

Well, after getting a tow to my mechanic and speaking to my insurance company, it turned out everything was covered, thank god. But, it was finally time to get those darn headlights replaced. (Even I’m not dumb enough to tempt fate twice.) Well, you’ll never believe what he quoted me…

$400.

I’ll say that again: $400. Four hundred. That’s American dollars. To get the headlights replaced.

“Are you nuts?” I said promptly. “I don’t have that kind of money… I drive a 10 year old car!”

Well, Pete, my mechanic, he’s a good guy. I’ve been a loyal customer to him for years, now. (He’s very familiar with my car…) After talking to him for a while and explaining my situation, he told me about something that would fix my problem without costing me hundreds of dollars…

He said to get RestoWipe, a product specifically designed to restore headlights like new. Best of all… he told me I could do it myself and it would only take about 10 minutes!

What is RestoWipe?

RestoWipes are a simple headlight cleaning kit that restores your headlights to the way they were when your car was brand new.

It removes the haze on the glass that fragments and dulls your headlights, ruining their effectiveness.

Now, RestoWipes works a little different from other headlight restoration kits. You see, normally, those other kits require you to sand and polish the headlight with specialized tools. Honestly, after doing some research, you’re looking at 4+ hours with those other kits.

RestoWipes, on the other hand, works a little differently…

How Does It Work?

RestoWipe uses a patented emulsifier that breaks down the oxidized layer on the headlight. Then, Nano-Abrasive® technology uses ultra-fine friction to remove this layer from the headlight.

Imagine it this way: it’s like how you can wet a sticker to break it down before scraping it off with a razor, except on a micro level.

Finally, the Synthetic Wax Polymer contained within each RestoWipe cloth is automatically applied as you wipe, creating a super-fine coating that protects the headlights from future wear and oxidation, keeping them bright for years to come.

Put simply, each RestoWipe cloth simultaneously performs 4 functions:

  1. Removing stuck-on dirt and debris
  2. Chemically breaking down and sanding away the oxidized outer layer
  3. Polishing using Nano-Abrasive® technology
  4. Applying Synthetic Wax Polymer to protect headlight from yellowing and future wear and tear

And, the crazy thing is, all you have to do is wipe the headlight with the cloth! No separate spray bottles, no 5-step process, no hours wasted. Just wipe and you’re done.

Plus, the best part? It can safely be used on any vehicle.

Taking the World by Storm…

RestoWipe was picked out of thousands of new products as the winner of the 2023 Automotive Innovation Global Media Award, chosen due to its uniqueness and effectiveness.

One of the judges explains the award: “At the end of the day, we pick a product that really stands out from the rest. Something that brings something new and unique to the table, while fixing an old problem.”

Well, RestoWipe did all three.

But could it really be worth all this hype?

RestoWipe has been SELLING OUT every time new stock becomes available, it’s become THAT popular.

And, this is all due to the amazing reviews and people sharing on social media, because it hasn’t even been advertised to the public yet! It’s all because of word of mouth!

RestoWipe has quickly developed a cult following. Here are some of the things customers are saying about it:

My headlights were getting really bad. I tried cleaning them to no avail. RestoWipe kit is fantastic. It takes 10-15 minutes to complete (depending how much beer you have drunk). My headlights looked like they had icy fog all over them. After using this kit they looked brand new."

I was very skeptical of this product... I am truly a believer now!! This is by far, the best product for your headlights. Follow the direction and you WILL be absolutely surprised on the result you get!! I have never given so much complement on a product but, this one deserves it!!"

I rarely write reviews - I'm hard to please! Having tried similar products this was my last attempt to get the oxidization, milky colored residue, and minor scratches off my headlamps before buying a new set which would have cost me around $700. The lights were bad when I bought the car, a 2005 Range Rover Sport. I followed the instructions to the letter and it works. It works very well. Clean, clear, bright, and it's lasted through several washes to date. Highly recommended.

After doing the research and seeing all the positive experiences with RestoWipe, I was sold. I had to try it for myself…

I figured I had nothing to lose… except my fear of driving at night!

So, once my car was out of the shop, I ordered RestoWipe from its official website, and it arrived 3 days later.

I was afraid it might be a complicated process, but it actually turned out to be super simple.

Here's what I did:

Preparation: I put on some gloves for protection and clean my headlights with water. Then I dry it with a microfiber towel.

Step 1: Wipe! That’s it! All in all, it took about 10 minutes per headlight. In fact, as I was wiping, I’d focus on one small area, just to see if there was a difference. And, right before my eyes, the small area became crystal clear, while the surrounding area (that I hadn’t wiped) remained yellowed and dirty. It was seriously something else!

Step 2: Let dry and avoid driving for 30 minutes (this avoid dust getting into the compound before it sets).

That’s it! It was super easy, and I didn’t have to spend hundreds on replacing my own headlights!

Results

Okay, so I’m a little bit of an “overachiever,” you might say. I borrowed a digital light meter from Pete, my mechanic. (Well, you might say I “paid” with a case of beer.) Then, I waited until night and tested my headlights BEFORE using RestoWipe...

960 lumens. Yikes. (For reference, both headlights are supposed to be about 2600 lumens.) Now, you can see how I missed the pothole!

Next, I took the car in the garage, followed the directions, and restored the headlights with RestoWipe.

So, what did my headlights produce after being restored with RestoWipe?

A whopping 3800 lumens!

You read that right, RestoWipe caused a 2840-lumen uptick in brightness!

Wow. I mean, the numbers speak for themselves.

But… that doesn’t mean I wasn’t going to take her out for a spin to see the difference with my own two eyes. And…

I gotta say… it was like I was driving a brand new car!

Seriously, it was almost like I was driving in daylight. I could see everything on the road just like I should, and I had no worries when turning corners.

Using RestoWipe was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Was it worth the price?

At $30 per set, I thought it was definitely worth the price. Basically, I got a set of brand new headlights for $30, rather than paying ten times that for replacements!

Plus, now I know my family is that much safer, and you can’t put a price on that!

And, RestoWipe offers a 100% Money Back Guarantee. You can’t lose!

At the end of the day…

At the end of the day, I am so happy with the results. Not only can I see great at night while driving, but I know my family is safer. Getting RestoWipe was a great decision.

Plus, I ended up ordering more RestoWipe to give out as gifts…

I ordered them for my daughter’s car. She just bought her first car… all on her own! (It’s even older than my car!) I’ll rest easy knowing her headlights are shining like they should.

I also got one for my wife’s car. It’s good to know the ladies in my life are being looked out for, I’ll tell ya!

Plus, I even got another set for my own tail lights, making sure those stay bright and visible! Plus, it makes backing up in the evening way easier.

Do yourself a favor, if your headlights aren’t shining as bright as they used to… you owe it to yourself to get RestoWipe and let those babies shine!

My 1999 toyota corolla headlights barely shine light despite using bright lightblub due to the haze. Not anymore! Thanks a million!

This kit does exactly what it says, and it does it well - much better than other big brand competitors which I've also tried.

This product lives up to the hype. It took me about 40 mins on a 2007 Honda Accord and now it feels like I rolled back time.

Very simple, easy to use headlight restoration kit. Results are amazing when complete. My headlights weren't that bad to begin with but started getting a white line of haziness on both headlights so wanted to stop it before it worsens.
